That aside, if you absolutely, definitely need to see more than 60 fps on the meter, look at your graphics setting. That's the refresh rate of most panels, and there's no way going beyond that. Unless you have a CRT display or one of those new-fangled 120 fps panels, you'll never see more than 60 fps anyway. You have your interval set, that locks the FPS to same as your refresh rate of your monitor. when i am in a battle situation with less frames than 60 frames, this is not acceptable.Ĭcp, please remove this useless restriction fast! i like my old fps back, wether i am able to see them or not.

Shame that the models have not been overhauled as the graphics are still fairly good but the 'block' heads are a bit laughable (I keep thinking of Kryten from Red Dwarf every time there's a cutscene with facial closeups!). Great value, especially if you've never played Doom 3 before. The fact that you can play all the Doom games to date from the main menu is also very nice plus the game was only £13 anyway. The audio also sounds clearer but I might be imagining that. The graphics also look a look sharper - textures are slightly better for example - and the motion-blurring (set to 32X) is superb. Also, it supports the Xbox 360 controller with button prompts which is nice for someone like me who prefers to play PC games that way.
I love that the menus, HUD and text look so much crisper that the blurry original at 1920x1200 and that it now has proper widescreen support. I got this morning from Amazon and have installed and played it a little.
